Mr. Walker’s practice focuses primarily on water resources, environmental and administrative law and has over 38 years of experience in environmental and water-related issues in Florida. He presently serves as special environmental counsel to the Seminole Tribe of Florida to advise and advocate for the Tribe on various state and federal regulatory matters. He previously served as General Counsel for South Florida Water Management District where he was involved in developing the District’s regulatory programs and initial strategies for everglades restoration. He also served as General Counsel for the Southwest Florida Water Management District where he was involved in the development and adoption of the Surface Water Management Permitting Program and the Water Shortage Plan. Mr. Walker is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, is listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America in Environmental Law, a Florida Super Lawyer, a 2013 South Florida Legal Guide Top Lawyer in Environmental Law, and in The International Who’s Who of Environment Lawyers. He is also a Trustee and Counsel for the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed Trust. Mr. Walker earned his B.S., with honors, in 1969 from Pennsylvania State University and earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, in 1974 from the University of Florida, College of Law.
