The Florida Earth Modules are the original Florida Earth program begun in 2002 when FEF was still an initiative of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sceinces (IFAS) at the University of Florida. Each of the four modules is a two-day short course on topics important to understanding natural resources in Florida. Each module features a first day of instruction in a classroom setting and a econd day in the field. As with all Florida Earh domestic programs, the modules award CLE's for attorneys from the Florida Bar and CEU to engineers, planners and landscape architects.
The 2016 Module Schedule
The Natural Systems Module - February 25 & 26 - The Natural systems Module looks at the state from an ecological perspective, focusing on its natural systems diversity.
The Water Module - April 14 & 15 - The Water Module updates participants on current scientific progress and legal challenges in the water sector.
The Agriculture Module - November 3 & 4 - The Agriculture Module surveys seven commodity groups of Florida and the environmental science and policy that affect the industry.
